The 95,000 square foot facility is Ciena's first core research and development centre outside of North America, and is expected to employ more than 300 product development engineers within the next three years.

Post: Embedded Software Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• As part of Platform Tools team we are engaged in providing debuggers, hardware simulators and automation tools to facilitate designers.

• We are also involved in helping designers using our tools/expertise in benchmarking/tracing code and debugging (memory/heap/stack) issue faced by customer and reducing their turnaround time.

• Our team is also involved in exploring new tools / possibilities to reduce development – build time.There are multiple open source and inhouse developed tools which we currently involved with open source like gdb, ddd, Insight, QMEU, KVM, minicoredumper, valgrind, LTTng etc.

Educational Qualification: B.E / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech in computer science or a related discipline.

Required Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, effectively able to collaborate with multiple teams across geographically diverse areas.

• Experience in Automation for development/debugging/testing framework

• Programming Language: C, C++

• Scripting : Python

• Versioning : GIT

• Debugger: GDB

• OS : Linux, VxWorks.

• Networking Concepts

• Experience in working with remote Teams and providing support.

• Good Team Player and Capable of taking end to end ownership of user stories (features) Design, Implementation, Test automation, etc.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in simulation (KVM, Qemu)

• Scripting : Bash / Perl / tcl-tk

• Versioning: ClearCase / Perforce

• GUI-Tools : Agile-Jira, Bitbucket, Kibana, bamboo

• CPU Architecture: X86_64, ARM-v7, ARM-v8, PowerPC

• Good to have Telecom/OTN experience

Remuneration : ₹ 3,00,000 - 7,00,000 PA
